Not to be judgmental, but…

I love it when people say things like:

“Not to be a dick, but… [immediately says something dickish].” 

“Not to be a racist, but…[immediately says something racist]”

“Not to sound stupid, but… [immediately says something extremely obvious or stupid]”

The sentence is simply a contradiction. If your intention is to not sound like a dick or a racist or Supreme Captain of the Obvious you should probably not say it at all.
